Anonymous: I am far from over it

The following is the first entry in a series of anonymous tales- names and any hints that could lead to identifying the writer have been modified to protect the enraged.

The entire website for our law firm is unsearchable on Google. It’s a new site and it was indexed by our glorious web team but something went horribly wrong. Ratchet 2.0 is in Europe for three weeks and unreachable. We rely on Google search way too much for new business for us to go without a Google presence. This is really bad.

So bad that the tech guys got desperate enough to ask me for help. (Related, I figured out that they idiotically no-indexed the old site and then set up a redirect so that both the old and new site are no indexed, but I digress.)

Wilson the tech guy and I felt like someone in authority should know. Samantha the wench is now back from three weeks off and we asked her if she had a minute.

Sam: “I have ONE minute”

Wilson and me: “Yes, of course, and we wouldn’t even bother you except this is kind of big..”

Wilson and I spit out what we have to say and btw it’s still not searchable, etc.

From her office, the operations director, aka Nokia starts yelling.

Nokia was not involved in this conversation. Neither Wilson nor I report to her. Nevertheless, she YELLS

...that she has been timing our discussion and we have exceeded 60 seconds and we need to let Sam go.

Immediately halted the conversation.

Wilson and I then proceeded to pick our jaws up off the floor.

It happened yesterday and I am far from over it.
