Choosing your pain wisely: discipline v. regret

After adding my sentiments about everything that has occurred in the past few weeks, I'm diving right in on choosing your pain wisely. You have the choice of going the disciplined route or trucking your way down the regretful route. Just remember that the disciplined one gives you discomfort or pain in the moment, but the path of regret hits you like a ton of bricks down the road.

The breakdown: 

The pain of discipline weighs ounces. Being disciplined requires you to:
  • train yourself to practice disciplined acts
  • finish what you start
  • stop making excuses
  • get organized
  • stick to your plans
The pain of regret however, weighs tons. Refusing to have discipline leads to regret because it results in:

  • reduced possibility
  • reduced potential
  • cheating yourself out of growth
  • missing out on opportunities
  • not accomplishing goals
